Ed, all existing badged umpires in NSW will be transferred to the
HockeyEd system at no cost. To enable this to happen, please send the
following details to
secretary@ccwha.com.au or see Kylie on Saturday.

Congratulations to Hayley Seymour who was recently awarded her NSW State C Badge while umpiring at the U/15s state championships in Parkes!
Congratulations Kylie Seymour!
Kylie
has spent the last 2 weeks
umpiring at the 2009 Australian U/21 National Championships at Sydney
Olympic Park. Kylie had an excellent tournament and did CCWHA and NSW
proud with how well she performed.
At the conclusion of the tournament, Kylie was awarded her Australian A
Badge and received a recommendation to umpire at the Australian Hockey
League. Kylie is only the second person in our association to receive
this honour and we congratulate her on such an amazing achievement.
Congratulations Kylie.
We are lucky as an association to have such a talented umpire like Kylie
who is so willing and dedicated in giving back to our association by
helping to develop our junior umpires.
2009/2010 Rule Books can now be purchased for $7.50 from Kylie Seymour
Umpires' Board for 2009:
Kylie Seymour (Convenor)
Trevor Seymour
Caroline Wright
Jessica Baillie
John Langley
Umpire Allocation:
Umpires for junior games are allocated on a club basis, as per the draw. If you are asked by your club to umpire, please make sure you are there for the game as clubs may fined if no umpire turns up. If clubs find they are struggling to fill their allocated duties each week, they need to speak to the convenor ASAP.
The convenor allocates the umpires for all senior grades. Allocations are sent out by email at the beginning of each week. Please notify in advance if you are unavailable and ensure that you current contact details are known.
Please understand how difficult it can be to fill duties each week and help out when you are asked.
Umpire Exam 2009:
Please note that there will be no HockeyNSW Umpires Exam this year. All umpires will be assessed through the new national accreditation program called HockeyEd - you can find more information about this at www.hockey.org.au and click on 'Game Development' followed by 'Officiating'. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to see Kylie.
2009 Umpire's Classes:
Umpires classes have concluded for 2009, however if you are still interested in learning how to umpire it is not too late. Please speak to Kylie Seymour and she will be more than happy to help you.
New rules regarding free hits are in place for 2009. These new rules will be applied in our competition so it is suggested that you read them before the season begins on Saturday. If you have any questions regarding these rules, please feel free to speak to Kylie Seymour or one of the umpiring panel for clarification.
